About Rebeckah......

Rebeckah’s experience starts first and foremost with a genuine lifelong love of animals.

At home, Rebeckah has two rescue black cats: Maggie, who is 12 years old, and Little Cat, who is 5 years old. Over the years, Bex has also rescued and cared for many dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities, giving her a deep understanding of just how individual every animal really is.

Rebeckah first started home boarding dogs back in 2007, caring for dogs in a home environment rather than a traditional kennel setting. What began as a small, personal home boarding service went on to grow into one of the UK’s first luxury dog hotels. That business became a huge success and grew into a fully licensed commercial dog daycare and boarding business, licensed for up to 90 dogs. After many years of building and running a busy professional dog care business, the business was sold after Rebeckah had her baby. Now she has come full circle.

Pawberry Fields is a return to where it all began: caring for a small number of dogs in a calm, homely, personal environment, with the experience, knowledge and standards that come from nearly two decades in professional animal care.

Alongside dog boarding and daycare, Bex also has extensive experience as a behavioural dog groomer, working with dogs who may be nervous, sensitive, anxious or unsure about being handled. This has given Rebeckah a strong understanding of canine body language, behaviour, confidence, trust and emotional wellbeing.

Bex is canine first aid trained, Level 6 qualified in canine behaviour and welfare, and has also studied pet psychology. Rebeckah has spoken professionally about dog care, welfare and behaviour on television, on radio and at dog shows, and has spent years advocating for better standards in dog care.

Pawberry Fields is not a large commercial kennel. It is a small, exclusive home-from-home for dogs and a calm, separate luxury cattery for cats, run by someone with real hands-on experience, professional knowledge and a genuine love of animals.

Rebeckah is well respected by pet professionals and has raised thousands of pounds for animal charities over the years, with many loyal customers saying they would not trust anyone else to care for their pets.
