Will my dog be mixed with other dogs?

Yes. Pawberry Fields is a small, exclusive home boarding business, and the dogs who stay with us are friendly dogs who are suited to a home boarding environment. Many of our dogs have been coming to us for years. Any new dog is carefully assessed based on their temperament, size, breed, and behaviour around other dogs.

Most of our regular dogs are small to medium sized, and we only accept dogs who we believe will enjoy the company of the other dogs staying with us.

We do not accept aggressive dogs or dogs who cannot safely and happily mix with other dogs

I can see you are close to the river, will my dog be exercised safely?

We are lucky to have 10 acres of land, and 5 acres of that land is away from the river and securely fenced. Dogs are exercised and supervised carefully. If we ever walk dogs along the river, they will be kept on a long line lead at all times. Safety always comes first.

Are you able to give my pet medication?

Absolutely, we can often give medication as long as comprehensive written instructions are supplied prior to the stay and a veterinary history is shared. All medication should be well labeled and kept in its original packaging.

However, since we are not licensed veterinary professionals, we cannot administer injections to your pets.

What should I bring for my pet's stay?

Please bring your dog's usual food, any medication they need, and anything that helps them settle, such as a familiar blanket or toy. A secure fitting collar with their name on and if possible a well fitted harness. We recommend keeping things simple and only bringing items you are comfortable leaving with us during their stay.

Please bring your cat’s usual food, any medication they need, and anything familiar that may help them feel settled, such as a blanket or small bed. Cats often feel more secure when they have something that smells like home. All cats must have a collar with their name on.

Should your pet show signs of illness or if we have any worries, we will reach out to you immediately.

In the event that veterinary care is required and we are unable to contact you, we will obtain veterinary guidance and/or treatment according to our terms and conditions. All veterinary expenses will be the owner's responsibility.
